Description

The teapot warmer was designed in 1928 by Wilhelm Wagenfeld at the Bauhaus School in Weimar and is now produced by Tecnolumen.

As a trained silversmith, Wilhelm Wagenfeld came to the Bauhaus as a pupil in 1923, where he later became head of the metal workshop himself. In contrast to many other Bauhaus designers, his designs in the 1920s and 1930s were also directly economically successful. For Wagenfeld, the best characteristic of an object was "the undemanding", which meant everyday objects that were useful, inexpensive and at the same time appealing.

Nickel-plated brass, opal glass
